If you are looking for an equine job or apprenticeship in the equestrian industry, you have found a really special place to work. As a continuously flourishing business we are always on the look out for suitable candidates for the following two roles.
TRAINEE INSTRUCTOR & YARD ASSISTANT
Do you want to develop your equestrian career, improve as a rider and become a really top quality riding instructor? If you do, come and join our enthusiastic and supportive team at our thriving BHS approved riding centre set in the idyllic location of the Southdown’s National Park.
This important full-time, permanent role covers all general yard duties, assisting with lessons and some riding to help us deliver the highest standard of customer care for which we are renowned.
This is a five day a week role on a set rota which includes weekends and some evening cover, with 28 days of paid holiday leave per annum. The salary starts at the national minimum wage with plenty of opportunity to top this up through commissions, bonuses and substantial skill set increments as you progress in your training.
Whilst you will be provided with ongoing training towards attaining BHS qualifications, including training from Robert Pickles FBHS, plus provided with opportunities to compete and hunt, please note this is not a training role but a role for a full-time committed team member who is keen to advance their skills and career.
Whilst it is not necessary to have any qualifications to apply for this role, at least two years’ experience of looking after horses is essential and preference will be given to those who hold a degree, BHS qualifications, and/or are capable riders. However being a team player and having a willingness to learn remain of primary importance to be successful in this important role. Robust health is essential as this is a physically demanding role and only non-smokers should apply. Please note DBS check and references will be required.
Lavant House Stables is regarded as a top class employer who will provide the very minimum of what is promised and will encourage and support development amongst its excellent team of staff.
